Please read and abide by the following terms and conditions to ensure a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
1. Membership
- Join up: Membership is required for ordering. Please ensure you have created an account by clicking "Create Account" on our website, and following the steps to sign up.
- Be Punctual: Product pickup times are scheduled for each drop point in advance, around our production schedule and the host's ability to receive our arrival. Please arrive to pickup your order within the allotted timeframe (pickup times are noted during checkout and also in your order confirmation email). Punctual order pickup shows respect for the host's schedule, and our delivery schedule.
2. Ordering and Payment
- Pre-Order: Orders must be placed by midnight of the day preceding your desired delivery day. Late orders will not be processed until the next available delivery day/week. It is your responsibility to get orders in on time.
- Payment: All payments must be made before you pickup your order. You can either pay online by ordering through our website, or privately arrange payment via Venmo. We do not accept cash or checks for Harvest Club orders, because we are typically not present to collect payment.
If using Venmo for payment, please reference your order # or itemize the items you're paying for in the payment notes.
3. Packaging
- Reusable Glass Jars: Milk and some other dairy products are provided in reusable glass jars. A jar deposit of $3 per jar is required whenever you are ordering a dairy product for the first time, or if you do not have your last set of jars available to trade in when placing a new order. Jar deposits are kept on file, and can be refunded at the end of the buying relationship or dairy season upon request, upon return of the jars in clean and undamaged condition.
- Returning/Trading In Jars: Jars must be returned in a clean condition. Please wash them with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow them to dry completely before lidding and returning. Alternatively, run them through the dishwasher and ensure they are completely dry before lidding and returning.
To have your jarreturn counted, please write your name on the clean jar's glass with a Sharpie (don't worry! It scrubs off.). Please don't write on the lids, just the glass!
Jars returned damaged or dirty will not be eligible for trade-in or deposit refunds. If a jar is broken or damaged or returned dirty, a replacement fee of $3 will be charged and is not eligible for an end-of-season deposit refund.
4. Conduct
- Politeness: Always be courteous and respectful to the host, the producer, and the other members.
- Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness at the pickup location. Dispose of any trash properly, and do not litter.
- Confidentiality: Host and member information is to be kept confidential. Do not share contact info, addresses, or other information about hosts or members without express consent.
5. Health and Safety
- Disclaimer: Raw milk and other raw dairy products are not pasteurized. It's your responsibility to understand the potential risks and benefits and be a fully informed consumer before purchasing any raw dairy products. By ordering raw dairy, you are representing that you are an informed end consumer, fully understand the nature of the product you are purchasing, and release the producer, the host, and delivery personnel from any and all liability arising from your purchase and consumption of these products. Consult with your healthcare provider if you have any concerns about consuming raw dairy. Remember, you are responsible for your health decisions regarding these products.
- Storage: Once you take the milk home, refrigerate it immediately to maintain freshness. Your refrigerator should be kept at 36F or below to ensure safety and shelf life.
- Custody: By purchasing our dairy products, you agree to maintain custody of the products at all times. You agree that the products you purchase will not be shared with, prepared for, served to, sold, given away, or otherwise transferred to any other party.
6. Communication
- Updates: We will communicate any changes to pickup times, cancellations, or special announcements via email. Please keep your contact information current in our system and make sure you are signed up for email notifications in your account settings.

7. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations: If you cannot pick up your order, please notify us as soon as possible, preferably before scheduled pickup day, to avoid products being left in the host fridge. Cancellations made after orders have been delivered will be charged in full + a 50% restocking fee.
- No-Shows: Some of our drop points have tight pickup windows, as some of our hosts only have limited availability for providing access to their pickup space. If you make an order and schedule to pickup your products, then fail to arrive within the drop point's allotted timeframe to retrieve your order, and have not made alternative arrangements with us before the pickup window closes, you will be charged full price for the order plus a restocking fee up to 50% of the order total, at our discretion, and given 1 strike against your account. A second no-show event will result in removal from the Harvest Club membership roll and loss of priority buying options. A third no-show will result in termination of your account and you will be barred from all future ordering.
8. Liability
By buying our products, you acknowledge that you understand the risks associated with consuming raw milk and other fresh products, and agree to hold the producer, delivery personnel, and the drop point hosts harmless from any and all liability.
9. Compliance
Non-compliance with these rules may result in suspension or termination of your account.
By creating an account with, placing an order for delivery to a designated drop point, or otherwise purchasing our products through the Meadowvale website or Farmstead Harvest Club or in person, you hereby acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including any risks associated with the products purchased, particularly raw dairy. Your action of account creation or order placement constitutes an electronic signature, indicating your acceptance of all terms herein, including but not limited to, disclaimers, liability waivers, and the assumption of any health risks associated with the consumption of our products. This agreement is legally binding and enforceable under the laws of the jurisdiction where the drop point is located.
